Marilyn E. Page
Jul 30 1942 - Mar 07 2010
Marilyn Eve Page, 67, of Rapid City, South Dakota went to heaven on March 7, 2010. She died peacefully at home.
She was born in Grafton, North Dakota on July 30, 1942 to Frances (Tupa) and Chester Kowalski. The family grew with the birth of her only sibling, Diane Altendorf. Her childhood was spent in Forest River, North Dakota.
Marilyn married Ernest Dauksavage in 1958. They raised a family in the Warsaw, North Dakota area. She served on the St. Stanislaus Altar Society, helped with the Warsaw Hall, and enjoyed baking wedding cakes for local brides. Softball was her favorite sport and she enjoyed playing on a local woman’s league. In 1978, Ernest and Marilyn moved to Phoenix, AZ.
She was widowed in 1983, and God graciously brought Arthur (Skip) Page into her life. In May of 1984 they were married. Skip and Marilyn volunteered many hours with the Civil Air Patrol Search and Rescue. Marilyn was the first woman in Arizona history to find an Emergency Locator Transmitter solo. They enjoyed a career in the hospitality industry and retired in 2001. The snowbird lifestyle brought much joy as they summered in South Dakota and wintered in Arizona. Quilting was one of her favorite hobbies.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Arthur ‘Skip’ Page of Rapid City, as well as her sister Diane Altendorf of Grand Forks, N.D., her children Pamela (Bill) Barker of Tempe, Arizona, Donna (Bruce) Bergman of Clear Lake, Minnesota, Mark (Carrie) Dauksavage of Taylor, North Dakota, Brad (fiancé Trudy Neal) Page of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, Marcelle (Rebecca) Dauksavage of Owanka, South Dakota, Lisa Page of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jared (Jami) Dauksavage of Goreville, Illinois, and Andrea (Lawton) Thompson of Rapid City, South Dakota.
